Precautions

This medicine can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, if pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients allergic to any ingredient of this medicine or similar medications, or those with hypersensitivity should not use it, and pregnant or nursing women should avoid this medication. This medicine should not be administered to patients with severe hypotension, heart valve disease, unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction, or severe kidney and liver disorders. Patients with reduced blood volume or low sodium levels may experience hypotension, so it is essential to check their condition before administration and observe them carefully when starting treatment. This medication may affect kidney function; therefore, patients with impaired kidney function should periodically assess their kidney status through blood tests. The use of this medication is not recommended for patients with severe liver dysfunction, biliary obstruction, or cholestasis. Since this medicine lowers blood pressure, care must be taken when combined with other antihypertensive medications to avoid excessive hypotension. Concomitant use with drugs that affect renal excretion, such as lithium, may increase toxicity, so it is advisable not to take them together. While taking this medicine, regular checks of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels (especially potassium, sodium, calcium, etc.) should be performed to ensure there are no abnormalities. Common side effects include dizziness, headache, peripheral edema, as well as rare but serious allergic reactions, worsening kidney function, or blood disorders. Particularly, there may be hypersensitivity reactions on the skin, so caution is advised when exposed to sunlight, and immediate consultation with medical professionals is necessary if abnormal reactions occur. Elderly patients or those with chronic conditions may be more sensitive to the effects and side effects of this medication, so starting with a lower dose and closely monitoring their condition is advisable. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, tachycardia, or cardiac function deterioration may occur, so prompt medical attention should be sought. This medicine should be stored away from moisture and heat, and out of the reach of children. It is advisable not to transfer it to another container. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid taking this medicine and consult medical professionals about other safe treatment options if needed.
