Improvement of scalp skin diseases (eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis)
This medication is primarily used to treat skin diseases occurring in the facial region such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. These conditions are accompanied by skin inflammation or itching, and this medication helps relieve symptoms and improve skin conditions.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-2 times a day and adjust according to symptoms. Do not use for continuous treatment over 2 weeks or exceed 50g (50mL of liquid) per week.
This medication should be avoided in patients with skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients with allergies to this medication or its components should not use it. Caution is needed when used in patients with perforations in the eardrum as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to use it on areas with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite on the skin. Avoid use in cases of scalp infections, perioral dermatitis, common acne, or specific skin diseases. Patients with itching in the anal or genital area should also refrain from using this medication. This medication should not be used in infants under 24 months old. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should use this medication with caution, and if necessary, consult with a doctor to use it for the minimum necessary range and duration. Children, the elderly, and patients with poor liver function or diabetes should be particularly careful when using this medication. Using this medication may result in bacterial, fungal, or viral infections on the skin, so discontinuation should occur immediately if any infection symptoms appear, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Various skin side effects may occur, such as skin irritation, rash, itching, and erythema, and usage should stop if hypersensitivity reactions occur. Long-term use may lead to skin thinning or dilation of blood vessels, therefore gradually reducing the dosage and switching to other medications may be necessary. Extensive or prolonged use of this medication with occlusive dressings may lead to systemic side effects, thus short-term use is recommended. If used around the eyes, caution is necessary due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure, cataracts, and glaucoma. This medication is generally not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; however, if absolutely necessary, it should be used in conjunction with antibiotics or antifungals. Due to systemic absorption of this medication, hormone function may be affected, necessitating regular health checks. Once symptoms improve, discontinue use as soon as possible, and if symptoms worsen, stop use immediately. When applying to the face, neck, genital area, or flexural areas, the risk of side effects is increased and should be used carefully. In treating psoriasis, caution should be taken as there is a risk of rebound flares, tolerance, and systemic side effects, thus careful monitoring is required. If symptoms of vision impairment occur, consult with a doctor immediately, and ophthalmic evaluation may be needed. Overuse can result in severe side effects such as adrenal insufficiency, thus gradual reduction should be performed under the direction of a physician. Do not apply directly to the eyes, taking care that it does not enter the eyes, and should not be used for purposes other than treatment. If used with occlusive dressings, it must be done under the supervision of a physician, and the treatment area should be kept clean. Ensure the treatment area does not exceed 20% of the body and wash hands thoroughly after application, except when applied to the hands. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children and in its original container to prevent misuse and quality degradation. Caution is needed as psoriasis patients may experience worsening skin symptoms during or after the discontinuation of long-term high-dose use.
