This medication is used as combination replacement therapy for patients who need to take both Metformin Hydrochloride and Rosuvastatin Calcium simultaneously.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is to be taken by adults once daily with the evening meal.

Precautions

This medication can rarely cause a serious condition called lactic acidosis, which may lead to death, so caution is needed. When used with other blood glucose lowering medications, severe hypoglycemic symptoms may occur, requiring careful monitoring. Individuals allergic to the ingredients of this medication or similar drugs should not use it. Patients with severe liver dysfunction or those with liver disease should not take this medication. Individuals who have muscle disorders or are prone to muscle problems should avoid using this medication, especially at higher doses where the risk is greater. Patients with severely impaired kidney function, dehydration, serious infections, acute heart problems, etc., should not use this medication. This medication must be discontinued in cases of acute heart failure or before certain radiation tests, and it can be resumed once normal kidney function is confirmed post-examination. This medication is not appropriate for type 1 diabetes patients or those with diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients with severe infections, trauma, or those undergoing surgery should temporarily stop using this medication and can resume once their condition stabilizes. Extra caution is required for patients with very poor nutritional status or certain endocrine disorders when using this medication. This medication contains lactose, and individuals with lactose intolerance should not take it. Discontinuities in meal timing or insufficient food intake, as well as rigorous exercise, should be considered when using this medication.
