Relief of painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal diseases (e.g., cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder)
This medication is used to relieve painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal diseases such as cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain.
This medication is a sustained-release tablet; therefore, it should be taken whole without crushing, dividing, or chewing. Adults should take 1 tablet (75mg of Eperisone Hydrochloride) orally after meals, twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to it or patients with myasthenia gravis. Individuals with a history of drug allergies or liver dysfunction should use this medication with caution as there is a risk of deteriorating liver function. If allergic symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Additionally, severe skin reactions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur; therefore, if symptoms such as fever, skin rash, blisters, or stomatitis appear, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dyspepsia, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, and you should consult a doctor if these symptoms are severe. If weakness, staggering, or drowsiness occurs during administration, it may be necessary to reduce or stop the dosage. During the use of this medication, drowsiness or decreased attention may occur; therefore, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Caution should be taken when used in conjunction with other muscle relaxants as visual disturbances may occur. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid using it if possible or stop breastfeeding. Safety in pediatric patients has not been sufficiently established; thus, it should be used cautiously in children. Elderly patients may have decreased physical function; therefore, special precautions such as dosage adjustment are necessary.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), difficulty breathing, shock and anaphylactic reactions, toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome), mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), fever, erythema, blisters, chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor, anaphylaxis, angioedema

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air and moisture from entering. Additionally, it should be kept away from extreme heat or cold, ideally stored at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
