This medication is used for painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders, such as cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain.

How to take

Adult dose

As this medication is an extended-release tablet, it should be taken whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing. Take 1 tablet (75 mg of Eperison Hydrochloride) twice daily after meals. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in individuals who are allergic to this medication or in patients with severe muscle weakness. Patients who have previously experienced allergic reactions to medications or have poor liver function should use this medication with caution, as liver function may be adversely affected. If allergic symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing occur during this medication, use should be stopped immediately, and a medical consultation should be sought. Additionally, if severe skin conditions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome arise (fever, skin rash, blisters, eye redness, oral inflammation, etc.), medication should be stopped immediately and treatment sought. Rarely, abnormalities of liver or kidney function, blood abnormalities, neurological symptoms (insomnia, drowsiness, headache, etc.), gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc.), urinary symptoms (difficulty urinating), and systemic symptoms (weakness, dizziness) may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, consult a physician. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so it is advisable to avoid operating vehicles or hazardous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should definitely consult a physician before taking this medication, and if breastfeeding, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding, if possible, while taking this medication. Safety has not been adequately established for children, so caution is necessary during use. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions, so caution such as adjusting the dosage may be necessary when using this medication. Care should be taken not to take this medication concurrently with other medications that have similar components, as there may be issues with eye accommodation.
