Precautions

This medication may cause a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily, so consultations with a physician or pharmacist are essential. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication or other salicylates, those with peptic ulcers, aspirin-induced asthma, hemophilia, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, bleeding tendency, those on high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester should not take this medication. Patients with renal impairment, cardiovascular circulation dysfunction, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, pre-surgical patients, infants under three years of age, individuals with a history of allergies, the elderly, patients on anticoagulants, and those with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency should use this medication carefully, as there is a risk of side effects such as hemolytic anemia. Adverse reactions such as shock, anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, skin rash, blood disorders, gastrointestinal disturbances, neurological symptoms, liver impairment, and kidney impairment can occur with this medication. If any unusual symptoms appear, immediately discontinue use and seek medical attention. In particular, there is a risk of Reye's syndrome in children under 14 years of age with chickenpox or influenza, so it should be administered with caution and the patient's condition should be closely monitored. For chronic conditions, regular examinations should be conducted along with appropriate measures in case of any adverse reactions, and administration for acute conditions should be based on the severity of symptoms, avoiding long-term use. Due to the antiplatelet effect of this medication, there is an increased risk of bleeding, particularly before and after surgery; therefore, consult with a doctor when taking other medications that affect blood coagulation. For pregnant women, especially in the first and second trimesters, it should be taken only in minimal doses and for the shortest duration necessary, avoiding its use in the third trimester. Also, since this medication can be excreted into breast milk and affect infants, it should not be used during lactation. The elderly may experience adverse reactions more easily, so it is recommended to start with a small dose and monitor their condition. As it is in enteric-coated form, care should be taken not to damage the enteric coating and it should not be mixed with alkalis. Lastly, keep out of the reach of children and store it in its original container to maintain the quality of the medication.
