This medication is used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also effective for the prevention of Mendelson's syndrome before anesthesia and for the treatment of postoperative ulcers, as well as ulcers caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Additionally, it is used for the acute exacerbation of acute and chronic gastritis and for the improvement of gastric mucosal lesions (erosions, bleeding, erythema, edema). It is effective even when there is upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is widely used for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases by protecting the gastric mucosa and aiding in its recovery.
