Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components should not take it. Caution is required for patients with orthostatic hypotension, as this medication can worsen their symptoms by causing a sudden drop in blood pressure. Patients with severely impaired liver function should avoid this medication as it may accumulate in the body. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Additionally, patients with severely reduced kidney function, elderly patients, and patients taking certain other medications should use this medication cautiously. Special caution should be taken if patients are taking antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, or alpha-1 blockers as interactions may occur. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also use this medication cautiously. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, and low blood pressure may occur. In severe cases, loss of consciousness or fainting may occur, and patients should consult a doctor immediately if these symptoms appear. If allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching, or hives occur, the medication should be discontinued. This medication may also cause gastrointestinal disturbances such as dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea, and may lead to liver function abnormalities or jaundice, so careful monitoring is required. Rarely, various adverse reactions such as prolonged erection, gynecomastia, epistaxis, edema, and visual impairment have been reported. In case of overdose, blood pressure may drop too low, thus the dosage should be strictly adhered to, and blood pressure changes should be monitored closely during position changes. This medication only helps alleviate symptoms and is not a causal treatment, so alternative treatment methods should be considered if no effect is observed. Care should be taken when driving or working at heights, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. This medication acts similarly to alpha-1 blockers and may cause serious side effects such as prolonged erection, and treatment should be sought immediately in such cases. Patients planning to undergo eye surgery should inform their healthcare provider about taking this medication, as specific ophthalmic complications may occur during surgery. Caution is required in patients with sulfonamide allergy when administering this drug. This medication may interact with other antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, etc., so all medications being taken should be disclosed to the doctor or pharmacist. Pregnant women or children under 18 years of age should not use this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been established. Elderly patients should start with a lower dose and adjust according to their condition, as there is a possibility of decreased kidney function. When taking this medication, do not chew or open the capsule; it should be swallowed whole after being removed from PTP packaging. Keep out of the reach of children and avoid transferring it to another container.
