Precautions

This medicine should not be used in certain patients. Patients who are allergic to this drug or any of its components should not take it. Patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder should also not use this medication. It is not recommended for children, women who are pregnant or of childbearing potential, and women who are breastfeeding. Additionally, patients with specific diseases such as homocystinuria or hyperhomocysteinemia should not take this drug. Caution should be exercised for side effects. Allergic reactions can cause facial swelling, stiffness of the tongue and throat, difficulty breathing, rapid heart rate, or sudden drops in blood pressure, and in severe cases, shock may occur. Gastrointestinal adverse effects may include occasional discomfort, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or gastrointestinal bleeding, and constipation, abdominal distension, or dyspepsia may occur rarely. Skin symptoms such as rash, itching, or hives may also appear. Other occasional symptoms may include insomnia, dry mouth, headache, or fatigue. When administered intravenously, temporary irritation, rashes, or phlebitis may occur at the injection site, requiring caution. There have been reports of an increased risk of suicidal behavior in young people under 25 years of age taking antidepressants. Additionally, there is insufficient clinical data on the long-term concomitant use in elderly patients over 65 years, so caution is advised. It is safer for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to take this medication due to insufficient experience in pregnancy and unknown transfer into breast milk. When administered intravenously, it should be injected slowly and should not be used in combination with calcium salt compounds. This medication can increase pH above 8, so mixing it with another drug may cause issues. When storing, do not use the container if it is cracked or discolored; it is best to replace it. Care should be taken to avoid prolonged exposure to heat.
