Precautions
This medication should not be used by individuals with fever due to inflammation or those who have a lot of heat in their body, as well as those who are weak and have dry cough. When taking this medication, side effects such as dry mouth or a twisted tongue may occur. Additionally, if the glycyrrhizic acid in this medication exceeds 40 mg per day, long-term use can lower potassium levels in the blood, raise blood pressure, and excessively retain sodium and body fluids, resulting in symptoms like swelling or weight gain, so caution is advised. It is recommended not to use this medication together with specific ingredients such as Banxia and Aodou. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, those exhibiting swelling symptoms, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as elderly individuals should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If you have previously experienced allergic reactions such as skin rashes, redness, or itching due to medications, or are currently taking other medications, you should consult with an expert. If you develop a rash, redness, or itching on your skin, or experience a decrease in urine output, severe swelling in the face or limbs, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness in the hands, elevated blood pressure, or headaches during the course of this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult with an expert. Additionally, if symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur, stop taking the medication and consult with a doctor. Consulting with an expert is also important if your symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for 5 to 6 days. Long-term use of this medication is generally not recommended, and if long-term use is unavoidable, be sure to consult with an expert. You must adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. When taking together with other medications containing potassium or licorice, or certain diuretics, there may be risks of hypokalemia or muscle-related symptoms, so caution is required. Furthermore, be careful not to have overlapping ingredients when taking other traditional herbal medicines or herbal supplements. Store this medication in a cool, dry place protected from direct sunlight, and after use, be sure to close the container tightly. Keep out of reach of children and avoid transferring the medication from its original container to another container.
