(Hypertension, Angina) Improvement of myocardial ischemia and reduction of cardiovascular risk
This medication is used for patients who require the simultaneous administration of two drugs, Amlodipine (Es Amlodipine) and Atorvastatin. Amlodipine is effective for the treatment of myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension and stable angina, as well as variant angina due to vascular spasms, and it reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina in patients with coronary artery disease without heart failure, as well as the risk related to coronary artery revascularization. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, revascularization procedures, and angina, and helps in controlling cholesterol and triglyceride levels in various dyslipidemia patients. It is also used for reducing cardiovascular disease risk in adults with multiple risk factors for coronary artery disease and in patients with type 2 diabetes. This drug combination is beneficial for improving cardiovascular health comprehensively, addressing hypertension, angina, and hyperlipidemia.
This medication is administered only to adults, and the dosing must be individualized based on the efficacy and tolerability of each component, Amlodipine/Atorvastatin, in each patient. Amlodipine (Es Amlodipine): 5 (2.5) mg is administered orally once daily, and the dosage may be increased to a maximum of 10 (5) mg once daily based on the patient's response. Atorvastatin: The recommended initial dosage is 10 mg once daily, and it may be adjusted as needed.
