Precautions
This medication should not be consumed by patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or kidney disease. Women taking estrogen-containing oral contraceptives or individuals at risk of thrombosis should be cautious, as there may be an increased risk of thrombosis when taking this medication. Prolonged high-dose use can lead to tolerance, and when used with certain vitamins, may cause nerve damage or hematological abnormalities. Also, it may exacerbate peptic ulcers or trigger glucose metabolism disorders, liver damage, and hyperuricemia, so caution is advised.
