This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. The ingredients in this medication may cause uterine contractions or affect pelvic organs, leading to risks of preterm birth or miscarriage. Breastfeeding women should also avoid taking this medication. Its components can be transmitted through breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. Additionally, individuals with lactose intolerance or specific metabolic disorders should not take this medication, as it contains lactose, which may worsen symptoms. During the use of this medication, it is advised not to take other anti-diarrheal drugs, as overlapping effects may lead to side effects. Patients with high blood pressure, heart or kidney diseases, edema, and the elderly should consult with a professional before taking this medication, as it may affect existing conditions. Patients currently on other medications or with symptoms of diarrhea or loose stools, and those with a weak stomach should also consult with a professional, as this medication may exacerbate symptoms. Caution is also needed for those experiencing loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, after-illness weakness, or excessive sweating, as the side effects of this medication may intensify. Individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease, urinary disorders, hyperthyroidism, or who have experienced skin rashes or itching from this medication in the past should consult with a professional. Diabetic patients need to be cautious as the ingredients in this medication may raise blood sugar levels. If swelling occurs in the face or limbs, blood pressure rises, or headaches develop while taking this medication, you must stop taking it immediately and consult with a professional. If symptoms of muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis appear, you should discontinue use. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal pain, vomiting, or diarrhea occur, discontinue use and seek consultation. If symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, or generalized weakness arise, notify a professional immediately. If urinary disorders or symptoms of liver dysfunction (such as jaundice of the skin or eyes) occur, stop taking the medication and seek medical attention. If symptoms for treating constipation do not improve after one week of use, consult with a professional. Long-term use is generally to be avoided, and if unavoidable, it should be discussed with a professional. Stimulant laxatives can lead to tolerance and worsen constipation, so it is advised not to use for more than one week. Always adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, as effectiveness can vary from person to person, necessitating caution. When combined with other herbal medicines or drugs, careful attention to ingredient duplication or interactions is required. Especially when taken with ephedra, ephedrine, thyroid medications, or certain diuretics, the risk of side effects may increase, so consultation with a professional is advised.
