Precautions

This medication should not be used by anyone allergic to this drug or indomethacin or who has experienced such allergies in the past. Individuals who have experienced asthma attacks due to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics should also avoid using this drug. Persons who have had symptoms such as bronchospasm, rhinitis, or angioedema should refrain from using this medication. Children under 11 years of age should not use this medication, and pregnant women in their later stages should avoid it due to the risk of delaying childbirth or bleeding. This medication should not be applied around the eyes or on mucosal areas, nor should it be used on damaged skin, including areas with bleeding skin diseases, eczema, rashes, infected areas, burns, or wounds. It is important to note that applying this drug to areas with tinea, ringworm, or purulent skin may cause irritation or a burning sensation. During the use of this medication, it should not be combined with drugs such as coumarin derivatives, hypoglycemic agents, or thyroxine, as interactions may occur with overdose. Patients with bronchial asthma or psoriasis should consult their doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Additionally, individuals currently undergoing treatment, as well as pregnant women in their first and second trimesters or breastfeeding mothers, should consult a specialist before using this medication, as it can be transmitted through breast milk. Individuals with allergic tendencies or a history of drug allergies should also exercise caution. Those allergic to the propylene glycol ingredient in this medication should use it cautiously. If symptoms such as itching, rash, swelling, warmth, headache, or dizziness occur after application, use should be stopped immediately and a physician consulted. Severe hypersensitivity reactions, such as skin reactions or respiratory distress, and a drop in blood pressure may also occur, necessitating caution. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 days of use, professional consultation is required. This medication must be used strictly according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, as using it in excess or for prolonged periods on large areas may cause systemic side effects. Children over the age of 11 should use it under parental supervision, and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and consult a specialist if symptoms are severe. After using, hands should be washed thoroughly, and this drug is for external use only on the skin. Do not use more than 50g per week, and avoid wrapping the area with a sealed bandage. Long-term continuous use is not recommended, and remember that anti-inflammatory analgesics are for symptom relief, not fundamental treatment. When using on inflamed areas with skin infections, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal treatments should be used and the condition closely monitored. In cases of chronic diseases like degenerative arthritis, consider other treatment methods in addition to medication and closely monitor for side effects. In case of accidental ingestion of this drug, immediate gastric lavage or the use of an emetic should be performed, and appropriate emergency care, such as administering activated charcoal, is necessary. Depending on the patient's condition, electrolyte balance may need to be monitored, and medical observation may be required. The use of this medication carries a risk of gastric ulcers or bleeding, so symptoms should be monitored for several days, and antacids may alleviate symptoms.
