Improvement of chronic arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, arthrosis) and inflammatory pain
This medication is used for chronic inflammatory diseases such as chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, arthrosis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps relieve painful swelling and inflammation resulting from trauma or surgery. It has auxiliary effects in treating infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. Due to this, it is useful in improving symptoms of various inflammatory diseases. It is used to reduce discomfort and alleviate symptoms for patients.
Adults: Take 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2-4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen daily.
This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before use by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages daily, as taking this medication while heavily drinking increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Serious vascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke may occur, so individuals with heart disease or risk factors should be particularly cautious. During use, cardiovascular symptoms should be closely monitored, and immediate action should be taken if symptoms occur. Serious issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations may arise. The risk of such side effects is higher, particularly in older individuals, so care should be taken regarding gastrointestinal symptoms during use. If symptoms are suspected, immediate medical consultation is necessary. People with gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, a previous history of such conditions, severe liver or kidney disorders, severe heart failure or hypertension, and those allergic to this medication or its components should not use it. Additionally, pregnant individuals beyond six months of pregnancy should avoid this medication. It is recommended not to take this medication concurrently with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as this may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Caution is also necessary when taking high doses of methotrexate. During treatment, it is advised to either cease breastfeeding or stop taking the medication. Dizziness or fatigue may occur, so driving or operating machinery requires caution. Prolonged high-dose use may lead to headaches. Individuals with blood abnormalities, liver disorders, kidney disorders, heart failure, hypertension, a history of allergic reactions, elderly patients, children (6 years and older), and patients with alcohol addiction must consult with healthcare professionals before use. Also, since there may be interactions with various medications, it is crucial to inform healthcare providers about any existing medications being taken. If serious adverse symptoms occur during use such as shock symptoms, severe skin rashes, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, kidney function decline, cardiovascular issues, or psychiatric conditions, use should be discontinued immediately, and consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. This medication should be used for the shortest duration and at the lowest dose possible, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are required for prolonged use. In particular, patients with hypertension or heart failure should closely observe blood pressure and fluid status. After the 20th week of pregnancy, this medication may affect fetal renal function, thus caution is needed during use, and monitoring of amniotic fluid levels via ultrasound may be required. In case of overdose, immediate medical treatment is required even if there are no symptoms, and emergency procedures such as gastric lavage or inducing vomiting may be necessary. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Transferring it to another container is not advisable for maintaining quality.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe allergic reactions, high fever accompanied by severe rashes, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, severe skin adverse reactions, asthma attacks, respiratory difficulties with cough + fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, liver abnormalities (jaundice), sudden and very severe headaches, thunderclap headache, seizures, and consciousness disorders.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
Do not take this medication together with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high doses of methotrexate. Corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, coumarin anticoagulants, baclofen, immunosuppressants, thrombolytics, ticlopidine, antithrombotic agents, and increased serum potassium levels.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air or moisture. The recommended storage temperature is between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature.
