Improvement and prevention of symptoms related to vitamin B1 deficiency and metabolic disorders such as neuralgia and myalgia.
This medication is used to prevent and treat vitamin B1 deficiency. Supplementation is necessary in situations of inadequate intake of vitamin B1, such as in the case of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, during pregnancy and lactation, or following intense physical labor. It is also effective for conditions such as Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. It is used for various symptoms suspected to be caused by vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders, such as neuralgia, myalgia, peripheral neuropathy, and myocardial metabolic disorders; however, it is important not to use it long-term without purpose. This drug helps improve and treat symptoms caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.
As fursultiamine, the typical dose for adults is 5 to 100 mg administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously per day. It should be adjusted according to the symptoms.
When using this medication that comes in ampules made of glass, caution is needed when cutting the ampule, as glass pieces may enter. Special care should be taken when administering to children and the elderly. Patients with a history of allergies to any ingredients contained in this drug should not use it. Patients who have had allergic reactions should be more cautious when using this medication. If symptoms such as a drop in blood pressure, chest pain, or difficulty breathing occur during use, stop the medication immediately and go to a hospital. Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rashes may occur, and usage should be discontinued if symptoms develop. Occasionally, digestive issues may arise, including nausea, vomiting, oral inflammation, diarrhea, as well as headaches and symptoms of frequent urination. Pain may occur in the blood vessels during injection, so the injection should be administered as slowly as possible. To prevent bacterial infections, any leftover medication should not be reused. When cutting the ampule, the marked portion should be facing upwards, and the opposite side should be gently pressed to cut, while cleaning the upper part of the ampule with something like an alcohol swab to avoid contamination. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and caution should be exercised to avoid transferring it to another container, as this may lead to accidents or deterioration of the drug's quality.

This drug is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that prevents light exposure. Additionally, the medication should be kept at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius, avoiding excessively hot or cold places.
