This medicine is used for joint and musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and periarthritis of the scapulohumeral joint. It is also effective for relieving various pains, including toothache, inflammation occurring after trauma, lower back pain, and sciatica. It helps reduce pain associated with non-articular rheumatism. It is widely used for various inflammatory and painful diseases, improving patient symptoms.
For aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole and not chewed or crushed. Adjust the dosage as appropriate according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular side effects, it should be prescribed at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
Patients who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. The risk of gastric bleeding increases when taken with alcohol. This medication can increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, so those with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should use it cautiously. The longer the dosage and period of use, the higher the risk, so it is advisable to take the minimum dose for the shortest period possible. It may cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so special caution is needed for those with such histories or the elderly. If any discomfort or bleeding symptoms appear during treatment, consult medical personnel immediately. This medication should not be taken by individuals with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, those sensitive to aspirin or having asthma, those with severe heart failure or significantly impaired liver and kidney function, and late-stage pregnant women or nursing mothers. Patients with renal or hepatic impairment, the elderly, those with hypertension, heart failure, or those taking diuretics or blood pressure medications should use this medication more cautiously, with regular monitoring and observation required. This medication may cause gastrointestinal adverse reactions, dizziness, liver function abnormalities, skin rashes, and in severe cases, hypersensitivity reactions like shock or anaphylaxis. If any side effects occur, inform medical personnel immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, consult your doctor if you are currently taking anticoagulants, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, antidiabetics, lithium, methotrexate, etc. During pregnancy, especially in the late stages, this medication can pose risks to the fetus, so it should be avoided, and during the early or mid-pregnancy, it should be used with caution at the minimum dose and duration. While breastfeeding, this medication may be excreted in breast milk, so consultation before use is essential. Safety and efficacy in children and adolescents have not been established; thus, it is advisable not to use it. Elderly patients have a higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, so special caution is needed during use. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures may occur, requiring immediate medical assistance.
