This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this medication or other salicylates, patients with peptic ulcers, those with aspirin-induced asthma, hemophilia patients, individuals with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, those with severe heart failure, people with a tendency to bleed, individuals taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester should not take this medication. Additionally, those with kidney dysfunction, cardiovascular abnormalities, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, patients prior to surgery, children under three years old, individuals with hypersensitivity to analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs, the elderly, individuals taking anticoagulants, and those with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency should take this medication with caution. For example, severe allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis, skin disorders, blood disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, and neurological symptoms may occur, and if any abnormal symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped immediately, and medical consultation should be sought. In particular, children under the age of 14 who have chickenpox or influenza are at risk for a serious condition called Reye's syndrome when using this medication, so caution should be exercised. As this medication is symptomatic relief for pain and inflammation, it is not a cure for the underlying cause. When used for chronic or acute conditions, regular monitoring and observation of the patient's condition are necessary, and dose adjustments or discontinuation may be required. During the use of this medication, attention to adverse reactions is necessary, especially for children with high fever, the elderly, and patients with weak physical conditions, who should be observed more closely. When using this medication for infectious inflammation, infection may be masked, so it should be used cautiously with appropriate antimicrobials. Taking this medication within one week prior to surgery may increase bleeding risk, so if surgery is planned, it must be reported to medical personnel. In case of overdose, symptoms of toxicity may occur, and in severe cases, life-threatening situations such as hallucinations, convulsions, coma, or respiratory failure may arise. When using this medication for cardiovascular diseases or other purposes, it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist, as self-treatment may be dangerous. This medication inhibits platelet aggregation, which can increase bleeding risk, so caution is particularly needed during or after surgery. Additionally, even at low doses, it may trigger gout attacks in individuals with gout. Taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen or naproxen may reduce the effectiveness of this medication, so it should be discussed with a physician. This medication can interact with several drugs, so caution is needed when taking it with anticoagulants, thrombolytics, diabetes medications, methotrexate, lithium, SSRIs, digoxin, valproate, and others. During pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, this medication should not be taken, and during the first and second trimesters, it should only be used at minimal doses and for the shortest duration necessary. Breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication. Elderly individuals may experience more adverse reactions, so starting with a small dose and closely monitoring their condition is advisable.
