This medication is primarily used for the treatment of acute non-infectious conjunctivitis accompanied by severe swelling and congestion, allergic keratitis, and non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment, including anterior uveitis, episcleritis, and scleral inflammation. It is also effective in alleviating inflammation that may arise after strabismus surgery, cataract surgery, or glaucoma surgery. It plays a role in improving symptoms and aiding recovery in various ocular inflammatory conditions. This medication is important for maintaining eye health and reducing discomfort caused by inflammation.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day. In adults, it may be instilled every hour for the first 24-48 hours.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to any specific ingredients. It is also recommended that pregnant or nursing women avoid using this medication. This medicine should not be used if there's an eye infection or existing eye diseases such as glaucoma or dry eyes. Children under 2 years of age should not use this medication. Patients with cardiac diseases, hypertension, thyroid issues, or metabolic conditions such as diabetes should use it cautiously. Caution is advised when used in conjunction with other medications, especially those that affect blood pressure. Using this medication may temporarily irritate the eyes, and prolonged use may increase intraocular pressure. Long-term use can lead to side effects such as eye congestion, allergic reactions, and dermatitis. In severe cases, cataracts or corneal damage, and fungal infections may occur, requiring regular check-ups. During treatment, avoid wearing contact lenses, and when using for more than 2-3 days, it is essential to monitor intraocular pressure and side effects. Vision may become temporarily blurred; thus, driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. The risk of side effects may increase when this medication is used in conjunction with certain other medications, so it is essential to consult a physician. In children or infants, there is a risk of systemic side effects, so it should be used with caution. In case of overdose, serious symptoms may appear; immediate medical assistance should be sought.
