In children, it is effectively used for habitual vomiting and non-infectious intestinal pain and disorders, such as constipation or diarrhea. This medication improves various digestive-related symptoms, enhancing the quality of life for patients.

How to take

Adult dose

As trimebutine maleate, 100-200 mg once, taken orally 3 times a day before meals. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so individuals with a genetic inability to digest lactose should not take it. It also contains Yellow No. 4 dye, and individuals who have had allergic reactions to this ingredient should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and dry mouth may occur in rare cases. Additionally, symptoms such as palpitations, fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, and headache may also occur. As it may affect liver function, liver enzyme levels may increase. If an allergic reaction such as a rash occurs, discontinue use immediately. The safety of this medication during pregnancy is not established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should certainly consult a doctor before use. It is also not safe for breastfeeding women, so if necessary, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding while taking this medication.
