Adult dose

Before using this medication, an appropriate lipid-lowering dietary regimen must be implemented and maintained throughout the treatment period. This medication should be taken with meals to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances. The usual starting dose is 2g (2 capsules) daily, which may be increased to 4g daily if necessary. It can be administered once or twice daily.

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to any of its components or by children under 18 years of age. Caution should be exercised in patients at high risk of bleeding, such as those with severe trauma or surgery, in patients with poor liver function, and in patients with fish allergies. Various side effects such as dyspepsia, dizziness, headache, and rash may occur during treatment, so any abnormal symptoms should be promptly consulted with a physician. Variations in blood test values, cardiovascular abnormalities, and gastrointestinal issues have been reported in some patients during clinical trials and post-marketing surveys, so regular monitoring is necessary. This medication may prolong bleeding time, so caution should be taken when combined with drugs that affect blood coagulation to monitor bleeding risks carefully. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult with a physician before use as the effects on the fetus or infant are not well understood. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children have not been established, and caution is also needed when administered to the elderly. During treatment, dietary adjustments and exercise should be undertaken, and if there is no therapeutic effect, the medication should be discontinued. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so symptomatic and supportive treatment is necessary. Keep out of reach of children and avoid transferring the medication to other containers.

Generalized edema, severe swelling, difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory distress, black stools (melena), sudden death, cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia, angina, hypertension, significant neurological symptoms (headache, dizziness, syncope, facial paralysis), liver abnormalities (increased ALT and AST), elevated blood pressure, risk of hemorrhagic complications, increased risk of atrial fibrillation
