Summary

Main use
Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis.
Who takes it
Adults
Adult dose
Adults Generally taken orally, 2 tablets, twice a day regardless of meals, in the morning and before bedtime. 1) Gastric and duodenal ulcers Administer 2 tablets twice a day or 4 tablets once a day before bedtime. In particular, administering 4 tablets twice a day in the morning and before bedtime can yield a higher treatment rate for patients with duodenal ulcers. For ulcers caused by the administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or for long-term administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs to prevent the occurrence of gastric and duodenal ulcers, the dosage remains the same. Typically, diseases caused by administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs heal within 8 weeks, but the healing period may be prolonged depending on the patient. For patients with recurrent ulcers who responded well to short-term therapy with this drug, use 2 tablets once a day before bedtime for maintenance therapy. 2) Gastroesophageal reflux disease Administer 2 tablets twice a day for 8 weeks, or administer 4 tablets once a day before bedtime. In cases of severe gastroesophageal reflux disease, up to 4 tablets can be administered four times a day. 3) Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Start treatment with an initial dose of 2 tablets three times a day and can be increased as needed. In severe cases, under medical advice, the daily dosage of ranitidine can be increased up to 6 g. 4) Peptic ulcers, acute stress ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by acute mucosal lesions When oral administration is possible, switch from injection to oral administration of 2 tablets twice a day. 5) Pre-anesthetic medication (prevention of Mendelson's syndrome) Administer 2 tablets 2 hours before anesthesia induction. In this case, it is beneficial to administer 2 tablets the night before surgery.
