Precautions

This medication is for temporary use as an emergency contraceptive to prevent pregnancy and should not be used as a regular contraceptive method. Even with this medication, not all pregnancies can be completely prevented, so if your period is more than 5 days late or if abnormal bleeding occurs, you must take a pregnancy test. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it, pregnant or possibly pregnant, have severe liver disease, or have genetic conditions such as lactose intolerance. Patients with a risk of ectopic pregnancy or severe digestive disorders, heart or kidney diseases should use this medication cautiously. These conditions can affect the efficacy of the drug and worsen symptoms. After taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, breast tenderness, menstrual delay or bleeding, vomiting, and fatigue may occur. Most side effects resolve within 48 hours after taking the medication, but some symptoms may persist until the next menstrual period. This medication may increase the risk of thrombosis, so women with a history of thrombosis or family history of thrombosis should be cautious. This medication should only be used once within a menstrual cycle, and if there is additional sexual intercourse, a non-hormonal contraceptive method such as a condom must be used. It is important to take the medication within 72 hours as it will not be effective after that time. This medication does not prevent sexually transmitted infections, so other methods must be used to prevent such infections. Taking this medication with drugs that induce liver enzymes may reduce its effectiveness, so please consult your doctor if you are taking liver enzyme inducers. Do not use this medication during pregnancy, and if you are breastfeeding, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding for 8 hours after taking the medication. No severe side effects have been reported with overdose, but nausea and bleeding may occur, so treatment should be provided based on symptoms. Store this medication in a tightly closed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture and keep at a temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius for optimal effectiveness.
