Relief of inflammatory diseases of the external and anterior segment of the eye (blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This medication is used to treat various inflammatory diseases that occur in the outer and anterior parts of the eye, such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, iritis, and inflammation occurring after surgery.
1-2 drops at a time, instilled 2-4 times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratoconjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Additionally, it should not be administered to individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication. In principle, it should not be used in patients with corneal epithelial defects or ulcers, tuberculosis or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, or infants under 2 years old, but if necessary, it must be used very cautiously. Long-term use of this medication may increase intraocular pressure, leading to glaucoma, so regular intraocular pressure tests should be conducted. Infections such as herpetic keratitis or corneal ulcers may worsen, and cataracts may develop rarely. Impaired immune function may increase the risk of secondary infections, so caution is needed. When used in cases of acute eye infections, symptoms may be hidden or aggravated, so care should be taken. Symptoms of inflammation, redness, mydriasis, accommodation disorders, etc., may occur, and wound healing may be delayed after surgery. Caution is also needed as there is a risk of suppressing the body's hormonal function with prolonged use. If allergy symptoms develop, the medication should be discontinued immediately. The phosphate component in this medication may cause corneal calcification in patients with severe corneal damage, so caution is necessary. Using this medication without a physician's diagnosis on reddened eyes may lead to vision impairment. In cases of a history of herpes simplex, detailed examination is needed, and children must have intraocular pressure tests if used for more than 10 days. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 2 days, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Contact lenses should be removed before applying this medication and can be reinserted at least 30 minutes after application. Transient blurring of vision may occur upon application, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. Serious issues may arise if infected with chickenpox or measles while using this medication, so vaccination status should be checked and care should be taken to avoid infection. Particularly, children and patients taking certain medications may have an increased risk of systemic side effects, so caution is warranted. When used with certain medications, the risk of systemic side effects may increase, so careful judgment and observation are needed during co-administration. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant should avoid long-term use, and breastfeeding women should not use this medication; if unavoidable, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Use in children and the elderly should be done particularly cautiously. This medication is for ocular use only, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact between the tip of the container and the eye during use. Shake well before use, avoid sharing to prevent contamination, and unused medication from single-use products should be discarded immediately after use. Store the medication in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers.
