Improvement of symptoms and urinary flow in benign prostatic hyperplasia, reduction in the need for surgery
This medication helps to alleviate symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia. It reduces discomfort caused by an enlarged prostate, improves urinary flow, and helps relieve urinary difficulties. Additionally, it decreases the frequency of acute urinary retention and reduces the necessity for prostate surgery in severe cases. Therefore, this medication is used to effectively improve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Finasteride is administered orally at a dose of 5 mg once daily, regardless of meals. Treatment is required for a minimum of 6 months, even if symptoms improve.
