Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, and should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in patients with biliary obstruction, severe liver dysfunction, severe hypotension, severe cardiac disease, and in certain kidney disease patients. Particular caution is required in patients with primary aldosteronism, certain heart valve disorders, liver impairment, gastrointestinal disorders, renal artery hypertension, dialysis patients, and the elderly. Common side effects include dizziness and peripheral edema, and very rarely, serious side effects such as syncope or cardiac issues may occur, so any abnormal symptoms should be discussed with a doctor immediately. Taking this medication during pregnancy poses risks such as decreased fetal kidney function, delayed skull formation, and neonatal hypotension; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It is recommended not to take this medication while breastfeeding, and if taken, the possibility of drug transfer through breast milk should be considered. Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under the age of 18, thus use is not recommended. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the drug, so dosage should be adjusted and monitored closely. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension, dizziness, and cardiac dysfunction may appear, necessitating immediate hospital care for appropriate treatment. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is necessary to consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking potassium supplements, certain cardiac medications, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs simultaneously. Additionally, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery due to possible dizziness or drowsiness.
