View approved original text

This medication is primarily used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss, specifically androgenetic alopecia. Male pattern hair loss occurs due to genetic factors and the influence of male hormones. This medication helps slow the progression of hair loss and aids in hair regrowth, improving the condition of hair. With consistent use, the area of hair loss gradually decreases, helping to maintain healthy hair. Therefore, it is effective in treating male pattern hair loss.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

It is also advisable to avoid using this medication if there is inflammation, infection, or irritation on the scalp, or in cases of hair loss that is not genetic in nature. Those using other scalp medications or who have shaved their scalp should also avoid this medication. During the use of this medication, it should not be used in conjunction with topical corticosteroids or retinoids, petroleum jelly, or dithranol, and there may be a risk of hypotension if used with vasodilators. Elderly patients over 55 years of age or those with edema or thyroid dysfunction should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If symptoms such as itching, rash, inflammation, or abnormal symptoms in the gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, or nervous systems appear during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Excessive use of this medication can affect the heart and blood vessels, so it is essential to consult a professional before use. If there are wounds or severe dermatitis on the scalp, absorption of this medication may increase, raising the risk of side effects, so caution is advised. If hair loss worsens for more than 2 weeks during use, or if there is no effect after 4 months, consult a professional. If a dose is missed, do not supplement; continue with the next scheduled dose normally. This medication is not effective for hair loss due to specific causes and can cause serious side effects if used excessively, so caution is necessary. Do not use this medication on areas other than the scalp, and be careful to avoid contact with the eyes or sensitive areas. After use, wash hands thoroughly and use hair styling products only after this medication has completely dried.
