Ketom Eye Drops (Ketotifen Fumarate)

Adult eye dose

1 drop per application, 2-4 times a day or as appropriate based on condition.

Child eye dose

As prescribed by a physician.

This medication should not be used by anyone allergic to this medicine or any of its components. Additionally, children under 1 year old should not use this medicine. It is advisable to avoid using this medication concurrently with other eye drops. If taken orally, it may enhance the effects of central nervous system depressants, antihistamines, and alcohol. Caution is required as taking it with oral diet pills may temporarily lower platelet counts. Since this medication may cause blurred vision after instillation, it is safer to avoid driving or operating machinery until vision is clear. Drowsiness or sedation may occur rarely, so care should be taken during such activities. Individuals receiving treatment from a physician or undergoing allergy treatment, those with a history of drug allergies, individuals experiencing itching and pain in the eyes, and women who are pregnant or nursing should consult a specialist before using this medication. If redness, irritation, or itching of the eyes persists, or if eyelid inflammation occurs, the use of this medication should be discontinued immediately and a specialist consulted. Additionally, if blurry vision does not improve or symptoms worsen, or if symptoms do not improve after one week of use, a specialist's care should be sought. During use, temporary irritation such as burning sensation, swelling, and itching may occur. The prescribed dosage and administration should be strictly followed, and it should only be used for ocular purposes. Care should be taken to avoid contact between the tip of the container and the eyelid or eyelashes to prevent contamination of the solution; contaminated solutions should not be used. It is also advisable not to share this medicine with others. When using this medicine with other eye drops, they should be administered at least 5 minutes apart. If this medication accidentally enters the mouth, there is little concern for overdose. The preservative ingredients may adhere to soft contact lenses, so do not use while wearing them, and wait at least 15 minutes after administration before wearing lenses. When storing, keep in a sealed container to protect from air and moisture. It is recommended to store at room temperature between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius and not to use after 4 weeks post-opening. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer the medicine from its original container to another as it may lead to misuse or deterioration of quality; always keep it in its original container and securely closed.
