Prevention of skin infections before surgery and insertion of syringes and catheters
This medication is used to disinfect the patient's skin before surgery or to clean the patient's skin before inserting syringe needles and catheters.
Use without dilution directly.
This product contains chlorhexidine, and should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this ingredient. Avoid direct use on critical nerve areas such as the brain, spinal cord, eyes, and ears, as it may be dangerous. It is advisable not to use this medication on mucous membranes, particularly genital mucous membranes. Do not use in infants under 2 months old. Individuals with a history of allergies to other medications or allergic diseases such as asthma should consult a specialist before using this medication. Caution is necessary when using widely on injured or immature skin areas due to increased risk. If skin rash, itching, redness, or difficulty breathing occur while using, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. This medication is for external use only, and accidental ingestion or injection can cause serious side effects, necessitating an immediate visit to a medical facility. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, and if it does get into the eyes, it should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water immediately. When using on large areas or for extended periods, care must be taken to avoid inhaling vapors. This should not be used for disinfecting surgical instruments, and caution should be taken due to its alcohol content, which is flammable. It is advisable to wash the skin thoroughly with soap or cleansing agents before use, as this medication tends to adhere to fabrics or cloths, thus new solutions should be supplied frequently. An allergic reaction or shock symptoms may appear during use, so it is essential to check for a history of allergy to chlorhexidine.
Severe allergic reactions (hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat), breathing problems (dyspnea), risk of systemic manifestation of contact dermatitis, anaphylactic shock, severe corneal damage (corneal ulceration, corneal epithelial defect, permanent visual impairment)
