Improves and treats blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes
This medication is used to help control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is primarily administered alone in conjunction with dietary and exercise therapy and can be used in combination with sulfonylureas, metformin, or insulin when other blood sugar lowering agents have shown limited effectiveness. Additionally, nutritional counseling, weight loss, and regular exercise alongside this medication significantly aid in blood sugar control and are essential for maintaining the effects of the therapy. Therefore, this medication is effectively used to improve blood sugar control in diabetes management.
This medication is administered orally once daily regardless of meals. Monotherapy: Start at 15 mg once daily, and if the effect is insufficient, it can be increased to 30 mg once daily. There is no experience using this medication in children under 18 years of age, so its use is not recommended.

Regular monitoring of blood sugar and liver function tests during treatment is important, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to a doctor immediately.
