Severe hypoglycemia may occur when used with other diabetes medications, so caution is necessary. Patients who have an allergy to any components of this medication or who have specific liver diseases, muscle disorders, or renal dysfunction should avoid use. Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a high likelihood of becoming pregnant should not receive this medication. Patients with severe kidney failure, dehydration, acute heart failure, or those in poor physical condition should also avoid use, and discontinuation is required for a certain period before and after surgery. Patients with specific genetic diseases such as lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Careful use is necessary in cases of irregular eating, excessive exercise, or interactions with other medications; if symptoms like myalgia or weakness occur, healthcare professionals should be alerted immediately. This medication may affect liver and kidney function. Regular tests should be conducted to monitor status, and alcohol consumption should be avoided. During treatment, blood sugar levels should be checked regularly, and if symptoms worsen or abnormalities occur, consultation with healthcare professionals should be sought immediately. There is no specific antidote in case of overdose, so immediate hospital visit for appropriate treatment is required. Special attention is needed when administering this medication to children and the elderly, particularly since older individuals may have impaired renal function, making dose adjustments and regular testing important.
