This drug is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease, and it helps prevent recurrence after a cerebral infarction.

How to take

Adult dose

As cilostazol, the usual adult dose is 200 mg orally once daily. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This drug may increase heart rate and exacerbate symptoms of angina, so careful observation for symptoms of angina is necessary. This drug should not be used in patients with bleeding tendencies or those who have had recent bleeding disorders, and patients with congestive heart failure may also experience worsening symptoms when taking this drug. It is contraindicated in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have hypersensitivity to this drug. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or thrombolytics should use this drug cautiously as the risk of bleeding may increase. Women during menstruation, patients with coronary artery stenosis, severe renal failure, liver failure, and diabetes should also use this drug with caution.
