This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers and pain caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease, and to prevent recurrence after a cerebral infarction.

How to take

Adult dose

Cilostazol is usually administered orally as a single dose of 200mg once daily for adults. It should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This medication may cause an increase in heart rate, which could lead to symptoms of angina, so it is important to monitor for symptoms such as chest pain. This medication should not be used in patients at risk of bleeding or those who have recently had a hemorrhagic stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding, etc. Patients with congestive heart failure or those who have had allergic reactions to this medication, as well as women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should also not be administered this medication. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, menstruating women, those with severe renal insufficiency or hepatic failure, and diabetic patients should use this medication with caution.
