Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take it. Patients with allergic reactions to the ingredients in this medication or those with certain kidney diseases, liver diseases, electrolyte imbalances, or anuria should avoid taking it. Patients with hypotension or impaired kidney function, liver dysfunction, or a history of diabetes or gout should be particularly cautious when taking this medication. As this medication lowers blood pressure, dizziness or drowsiness may occur when starting treatment or increasing the dose, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. During treatment, blood electrolyte levels, kidney function, liver function, etc. should be regularly monitored to ensure there are no abnormalities, with particular attention to changes in potassium levels. This medication may interact with other drugs, so it is important to consult a doctor, especially if taken with potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, certain antihypertensive medications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc. Due to the hydrochlorothiazide component, the skin may become sensitive to sunlight, so sun protection and skin care should be considered during treatment. Possible adverse reactions during treatment include dizziness, headache, cough, fatigue, swelling, etc., and if severe allergic reactions or symptoms of angioedema occur, contact a doctor immediately. Safety has not been confirmed in children and adolescents, so usage is not recommended in these populations, and caution is advised as elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more frequently. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children, stored in its original container, and consultation with a doctor is essential before taking it if planning a pregnancy or during pregnancy.
