This medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension, especially to effectively control blood pressure in patients whose hypertension is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone.

How to take

Adult dose

The patient should take this medication once daily with water, regardless of meals, for those whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by telmisartan alone. It is recommended to adjust the dosage of each ingredient according to the individual. - The combination of telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide 40/12.5mg is administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with 40mg of telmisartan alone. - The combination of telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide 80/12.5mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with 80mg of telmisartan.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy in children under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, it should not be administered.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it may pose a serious risk to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, this medication should be discontinued immediately and replaced with other therapies.
