Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be taken by those allergic to the active ingredients or similar classes of drugs, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those with severe liver dysfunction, or certain heart diseases. Caution should be exercised to monitor conditions in patients with low body fluids or sodium, as blood pressure can drop significantly at the early stage of treatment. As excessive dilation of blood vessels may lead to hypotension, it should be used with caution, especially in patients with severe heart valve disease. In patients with severe heart disease, this medication may increase the risk of angina and myocardial infarction, thus caution is warranted. For patients with compromised kidney function, this medication may worsen kidney function, so regular monitoring of kidney function is necessary. Patients with impaired liver function may have delayed metabolism and excretion of this medication, hence caution is advised while taking it. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia may occur during treatment, and should any unusual symptoms arise, consultation with healthcare personnel is recommended. Particularly, potassium levels may increase in the blood, so it is important to regularly check potassium levels. This medication may interact with other drugs, so if you are taking other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare personnel. It is advisable to avoid using this medication during pregnancy and for breastfeeding mothers, as it can be transmitted through breast milk and requires discontinuation of breastfeeding or the medication itself. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 years have not been established, thus it is not recommended for use in this age group. Elderly patients may have diminished liver, kidney, and heart function, thus beginning with a lower dose and closely monitoring their condition is advised. In the event of overdose, blood pressure may drop significantly, requiring immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment. This medication should be stored in a sealed container away from direct sunlight and moisture, and out of reach of children.
