Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to its components. During the use of this medication, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur, so careful monitoring of the body's condition after administration is necessary. Additionally, symptoms such as a decrease in white blood cell or platelet counts may occur, so blood tests should be conducted to check for abnormalities, and if symptoms appear, administration should be immediately discontinued. There may be issues with liver function, so if liver enzyme levels rise or jaundice symptoms appear, administration should also be stopped, and medical attention should be sought. If allergy symptoms such as hives, rashes, or itching occur, the medication should be stopped, and consultation should be sought. This medication may cause neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or paralysis, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as dry mouth, constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and heartburn may occur, so the body's condition should be closely monitored. If liver function test values rise abnormally or if fever and rash occur, medication should be stopped immediately and treatment should be administered. Regular blood tests are necessary due to potential changes in white blood cell and platelet counts. Additionally, symptoms such as breast pain, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue paralysis, cough, difficulty breathing, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, kidney dysfunction, swelling, and a feeling of foreign body in the throat may occur, so consult a physician if any unusual symptoms appear. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Moreover, as this medication can be transmitted through breast milk, it is advisable for nursing women to avoid taking it. The safety for children, especially low birth weight newborns and infants, has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution is necessary. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily functions, so they should be more vigilant regarding the occurrence of side effects such as gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and it is advisable to keep it in its original container as transferring to another container may lead to accidents and is not good for maintaining quality.
