It should not be administered to individuals with hypersensitivity to specific ingredients, or to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as patients with severe liver disease or obstructive biliary disorders, and those with severe hypotension. Caution is also needed for patients with unstable heart failure following acute myocardial infarction or certain heart valve diseases. Patients with liver disease may require dosage adjustment due to slowed metabolism of this medication. Patients with impaired kidney function should periodically monitor renal status through blood tests, as there is a risk of worsening kidney function. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to this medication, so treatment should start at a lower dose and be gradually increased. This medication lowers blood pressure and may cause symptoms of hypotension; if such symptoms occur, the patient should be placed in a lying position and intravenous fluids should be administered if necessary. There may be an increase in potassium levels in the blood, so caution is needed when taking potassium supplements or potassium-containing medications. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Interaction with other medications may occur; therefore, consult a physician or pharmacist if taking other medications.
