Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily, in the evening with dinner, for adults only.

This medication can rarely cause a serious metabolic condition called lactic acidosis, which can be life-threatening, so caution is needed. When used in combination with other diabetes medications, there is a possibility of severe hypoglycemia, so glucose levels should be closely monitored. Patients with allergies to any components of this medication, severely impaired liver function, muscle diseases, or those taking certain immunosuppressants should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use this medication, and women of childbearing age should take appropriate contraceptive measures considering the possibility of pregnancy. Administration should be avoided for patients with severely reduced kidney function or those with unstable medical conditions such as acute heart disease, dehydration, or severe infections. While taking this medication, if symptoms such as muscle pain, weakness, or fatigue appear, inform healthcare personnel immediately and undergo tests. Additionally, this medication may cause gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, dizziness, and rashes, so if symptoms are severe, consultation with a doctor is recommended. Regular kidney and liver function tests should be performed during treatment, and special caution is needed for the elderly or those with reduced kidney function. It is advisable to avoid alcohol, and when used in combination with other medications, inform healthcare personnel about the drugs being taken as interactions may alter the efficacy or side effects. This medication should not be used in children, and caution should be exercised as dizziness may occur when driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, seek medical attention immediately for appropriate treatment, and store it out of reach of children in the original container, sealed.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), liver dysfunction (jaundice), jaundice, severe allergic reactions, severe hypoglycemia, serious neurological symptoms (headache, altered consciousness, vision changes, paralysis), shortness of breath, asthma attacks, acute renal failure, lactic acidosis, thrombocytopenia, seizures, altered consciousness, blood pressure
