Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or its ingredients should not take it. Patients with orthostatic hypotension should be cautious as symptoms may worsen. Patients with severe liver dysfunction may have increased blood levels of this medication, hence administration should be avoided. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should also avoid using this medication. This medication should be administered cautiously to patients with severely reduced kidney function or elderly patients. Additionally, patients taking PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, or antihypertensives should be cautious as interactions may increase the risk of side effects. Patients taking alpha-1 blockers should not use this medication in principle but may use it cautiously in necessary cases, as there is a risk of orthostatic hypotension. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also be administered this medication with caution. While taking this medication, blood pressure-related symptoms such as fainting or loss of consciousness may occur, so the patient's condition should be well monitored. Symptoms related to the nervous system, including dizziness, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, and nervousness, may arise. Cardiac-related issues such as tachycardia, hypotension, and arrhythmia may also occur, so caution is needed. If allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or hives occur, use should be discontinued immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, constipation, and diarrhea may occur. Liver function abnormalities or jaundice symptoms may rarely appear, so immediate reporting is necessary if abnormal signs occur. Furthermore, various side effects such as nasal congestion, edema, gynecomastia, and priapism have been reported, so any unusual symptoms should be discussed with a physician. This medication may cause blood pressure to drop too low in cases of overdose, so prescribed dosages should be strictly followed. Especially upon standing, blood pressure may drop, so it's advisable to move slowly. This medication is not a curative treatment but helps alleviate symptoms, so if it is ineffective, other treatment methods should be contemplated. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur, so caution is advised when driving or performing hazardous tasks. It is important to assess the presence of prostate cancer beforehand, and immediate treatment is necessary if serious side effects such as priapism occur. Special care is needed during surgeries for cataracts or glaucoma. Patients with allergies to sulfonamide drugs should be cautious when using this medication. Additionally, this medication is not suitable for women or children under 18 years old. For the elderly, a lower dose should be started depending on kidney function, observing the condition during administration.
