Tiropron Tablet (Tiropramide Hydrochloride)

Adult dose

Adults: Administer 100㎎ of tiropamide hydrochloride orally 2-3 times daily. The dose may be adjusted as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

This medication should not be used in patients with gastrointestinal narrowing. It should also not be administered to patients with megacolon or in a state of collapse. Furthermore, patients who have allergic reactions to this medication should not take it. It should not be used in patients with severely impaired liver function. This medication contains lactose; therefore, patients with hereditary lactose intolerance should not take it. Although this medication does not have anticholinergic effects, it should be used cautiously in patients with glaucoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia. Side effects such as dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, and constipation may occur during administration. Additionally, if symptoms of allergy such as itching or skin rash occur, administration should be stopped immediately. Patients taking antihypertensive medications should be cautious, as an excessive dose of this medication may cause blood pressure to drop too low. Pregnant women should take this medication only under medical supervision if necessary, as no special problems were found in animal tests. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer the medication to another container, as it may cause accidents or reduce the quality of the medication.
