This medication is used to treat dermatophyte infections such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by skin fungi such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton floccosum. It is also effective against infections caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare, the causative agent of tinea versicolor, and candidiasis. Therefore, it is utilized for improving various skin fungal infections.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply to the affected area (site of infection) 1 to 2 times daily. The recommended treatment duration varies by condition as follows: 1. Tinea pedis: 1 time daily for 1 week Interdigital tinea pedis: 2 times daily for 1 week Plantar tinea pedis: 2 times daily for 2 weeks 2. Tinea corporis, tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks If clinical symptoms do not improve after the treatment period, a reevaluation should be conducted.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to certain ingredients or have had adverse reactions in the past. If this medication is accidentally ingested, activated charcoal should be used to remove the active ingredient and follow up with appropriate treatment for any symptoms. This product is for external use only. Avoid use on eyes or mucous membranes, and if it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. It is also advisable to avoid using it on nails, scalp, around the mouth, and genital area. There are reports from animal studies indicating that this medication may cause mild irritation to the skin when exposed to light, so caution is needed when exposed to sunlight.
