Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Consuming alcohol while on this medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system and the cerebral vascular system, so it should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking. As the risk of cardiovascular disease increases with prolonged dosage and duration, the medication should be used at the minimal effective dose for the shortest duration necessary. Both the doctor and patient should periodically monitor for cardiovascular symptoms, and immediate action should be taken if symptoms occur. Patients with a history of cerebral hemorrhage should be especially cautious and take the medication under strict medical supervision. This medication may increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation. Caution is particularly needed for elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases as the risks are greater. If symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding or unusual signs develop while taking this medication, inform healthcare providers immediately, and discontinuation of the drug may be necessary. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, or a past history of related conditions should not take this medication. Patients with allergies to this medication or similar drugs or a history of hypersensitivity reactions such as asthma or urticaria should also avoid use. Specific patient groups, including those with heart failure, severe kidney or liver impairment, pregnant women in the last trimester, nursing mothers, and patients with inflammatory bowel disease, are prohibited from taking this medication. Patients with a history of renal impairment, heart failure, hypertension, or liver disease should exercise extra caution and monitor their condition regularly as per doctor’s instructions. Symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and visual disturbances may occur during treatment, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. Women who are planning to become pregnant or are in the early or mid-stages of pregnancy should minimize the use of this medication, and it should not be used in the late stages of pregnancy. This medication can interact with various other drugs, so it is essential to consult a doctor if taking other medications. Patients on long-term treatment should undergo regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests. If any abnormal signs occur, inform healthcare providers immediately. Commonly reported adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, elevated liver enzyme levels, and, rarely, skin rashes or severe allergic reactions. To use this medication safely, strictly follow the doctor's instructions, and consult a healthcare provider immediately if any unusual symptoms arise.
