This medication is used to treat pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), periarticular inflammation of the shoulder and humerus, lumbago, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once daily. Do not chew or crush the tablet; take it as a whole. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, administer the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use if the individual regularly consumes more than three glasses of alcohol a day due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taken with alcohol. Individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease should be cautious when taking this medication, as it can cause serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke; therefore, those with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should decide on use after thorough consultation with their doctor. Patients with gastrointestinal issues or the elderly should be cautious as serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers may occur. If symptoms of abdominal pain or bleeding occur during use, medical personnel should be notified immediately. This medication is contraindicated for individuals with specific diseases or a history of allergies. Particularly, those with active peptic ulcers, severe heart failure, severe kidney or liver impairment, pregnant women in late pregnancy, and nursing mothers should not take this medication. Individuals with poor kidney or liver function, the elderly, asthma patients, or individuals with hypertension should consult their physician before taking this medication to ensure careful use, and regular monitoring may be necessary during treatment. Dizziness, skin rash, or respiratory difficulties may occur as adverse reactions during use; if such symptoms arise, medical personnel should be notified immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs; those on digoxin, anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, or anticancer drugs must inform their doctor.
