This medication is used to relieve pain caused by various joint and musculoskeletal disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), periarticular inflammation, low back pain, and sciatica.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once daily. This medication should be taken whole, without chewing or crushing. To minimize cardiovascular side effects of this medication, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day; therefore, it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases; therefore, patients with risk factors such as heart failure, hypertension, or diabetes should use it with caution, and it should be taken at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. There is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so particular caution is required for the elderly and those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Individuals with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, hypersensitivity, severe heart failure, severe kidney and liver diseases, pregnant women in late pregnancy, and breastfeeding mothers should not take this medication. Patients with reduced kidney function, heart failure, hypertension, elderly individuals, and asthma patients should use this medication more cautiously and monitor their condition according to their doctor's instructions. This medication may cause various side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzyme levels, and skin rashes. If abnormal symptoms occur, medical consultation should be sought immediately. This medication may interact with other drugs; therefore, especially when taking anticoagulants, diuretics, or blood pressure medications, a consultation with a doctor is essential.
