Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; if pregnancy is confirmed, the medication should be discontinued immediately. Do not use if you have known allergies to any ingredients in this medication or related drugs, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have severe hypotension or cardiovascular and renal diseases. Caution is advised for patients with low blood volume or salt deficiency as blood pressure may drop excessively early on after starting this medication; such patients should be closely monitored. Patients with compromised renal function, kidney transplant recipients, or those with liver disease should also use this medication with caution as changes in kidney function or hepatic encephalopathy may occur. During treatment with this drug, blood pressure may decrease too much or electrolyte imbalances may arise, so if symptoms like dizziness or muscle cramps occur, inform healthcare professionals immediately. Regular checks of fluid intake and electrolyte status are crucial, especially in the elderly or those with diabetes or gout. This drug can interact with other blood pressure medications, diuretics, specific analgesics, and lithium, so report any concurrent medications to healthcare providers. Pregnant or nursing women are advised against taking this medication, especially since it can pass into breast milk. Safety and efficacy have not been established for pediatric patients under 18 years, thus its use is not recommended in this population. In case of overdose, hypotension and heart function abnormalities may occur; seek medical attention promptly if symptoms appear.
