This medication is used for relief of pain associated with chronic joint inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, as well as periarthritis of the shoulder, low back pain, sciatica, and non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once daily. Do not chew or crush the tablet, take it as a whole. To minimize cardiovascular side effects, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, as there is an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases; therefore, individuals with cardiovascular disease risk factors should use it with caution, and it is important to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Additionally, this medication can increase the risk of serious gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation; thus, individuals with a history of gastrointestinal diseases or the elderly should take special caution. Do not take this medication if you have active peptic ulcers or bleeding, or have an allergic reaction to this drug or similar medications. It is also safer for individuals with heart failure, cardiovascular diseases, severe kidney or liver disorders not to use this medication. Women in late pregnancy or nursing should not take this medication and should use it with caution during early or mid-pregnancy. This medication may cause central nervous system side effects such as dizziness or drowsiness; thus, caution is required when driving or operating hazardous machinery. There are many drug interactions, so it is crucial to consult a doctor, especially if taking anticoagulants, diuretics, blood pressure medications, or antidiabetic agents.
