Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
Used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
Administer orally as 60 mg once daily of Lerociclib Hydrochloride.
This medication may increase the risk of blood clots, so it should be avoided by individuals with existing thrombosis or those at high risk of thromboembolism. If you are in a condition of immobility for a long period, you should discontinue this medication and can resume after mobility is restored. In patients with impaired liver function, this medication's concentration may increase; therefore, liver function status should be carefully checked before use. This medication is not approved for use in premenopausal women. Caution is required in patients with a history of heart disease or stroke, particularly in those at high risk of stroke. This medication should not be used for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, and concomitant use with other estrogen preparations is not recommended. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women and nursing mothers should not take this medication as it can be harmful to the fetus or nursing infant. Patients with certain genetic metabolic disorders, such as lactose intolerance, should also avoid this medication. Patients with elevated lipid levels or severely diminished kidney function need to be cautious when using this medication, and regular monitoring is required. During the use of this medication, various side effects such as thrombosis, leg cramps, facial flushing, and peripheral edema may occur; therefore, if any unusual symptoms arise, promptly consult healthcare professionals. Patients who have undergone treatment for breast cancer should consult healthcare professionals before using this medication and must undergo examinations if they experience any abnormalities in the breast during treatment. This medication is used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, and adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D is recommended. It is advisable to improve smoking and drinking habits, and to engage in exercise and weight management as well. Concomitant use with other medications may affect the efficacy of some drugs, so if you are taking any other medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider. This medication is not for use in children or men; however, it can be used safely in elderly patients under the direction of a healthcare professional. In the event of overdose, symptoms such as leg cramps and dizziness may occur; thus, the dosage should be strictly adhered to. Keep this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container for safety.
Venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, retinal vein thrombosis, severe thromboembolic events, stroke, death related to venous thromboembolism, thrombocytopenia, arterial thromboembolism, retinal vein occlusion, stroke-related death, increased mortality due to stroke, peripheral edema (risk of severe swelling may be present)
