Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters, so it should be stopped immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, severe liver dysfunction, certain genetic disorders, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Elderly patients and those with weakened kidney function or hyperkalemia should use this medication cautiously and be careful to avoid excessively low blood pressure. As this medication lowers blood pressure, it can cause side effects such as dizziness and fatigue, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Various adverse reactions, such as angioedema, liver function abnormalities, muscle pain, dry cough, skin rashes, etc., may occur; if any abnormal symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. When taken with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, blood potassium levels can dangerously increase; therefore, avoid concomitant use of these medications and do not take potassium supplements without consulting a doctor. Caution is needed when taking this medication with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) as the antihypertensive effect may diminish and kidney function may worsen. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes is required during treatment, particularly for patients with impaired kidney function or the elderly who need more careful management. It is advisable not to take this medication within 24 hours before surgery, and in case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension and cardiac rhythm disturbances may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. This medication is not to be given to children, especially those under 6 years old or those with severe kidney impairment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should preferably not use this medication; if it is absolutely necessary to take, consultation with a doctor is required, and breastfeeding should be discontinued. When taking this medication, it should be kept out of the reach of children and not transferred to other containers for safety.
