Lidocaine Cream (Lidocaine)

Adult dosage

Apply 0.24 to 0.66 grams (23 to 62 milligrams of lidocaine) 5 to 15 minutes before sexual intercourse. Do not exceed a maximum of 2 grams (184 milligrams of lidocaine) within 24 hours.

This medication should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics. Additionally, it should not be applied to areas with wounds or inflammation on the skin. It is also advisable that pregnant individuals refrain from using this medication. Patients with liver or kidney problems should exercise caution when using this medication. Care should also be taken by individuals who have had allergic or hypersensitive reactions to propylene glycol, which is included in this medication. If a rash or irritation occurs while using the medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor if symptoms persist. Additionally, prolonged use for more than three months without a doctor's guidance should be avoided. This medication is for external use only and should never be applied to the eyes or nose. Repetitive application to the same area is not recommended. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept away from high temperatures exceeding 40 degrees, very low temperatures, and direct sunlight. After use, the medication should not be burned but disposed of properly.
